“Let it Go” had Surgery   1 comment

Please pray for our brother.

Let It Go is on the right.

Let It Go is on the right.

Jeanruis Milius or better know as “Let it go” “Rezye”, had surgery this past Thursday and is still recovering. Let it Go is from Bataille a small mountain community which is a days walk away. His wife had to head back from St. Marc where he had his surgery to take care of their children and stuff back home.
Marcel describes Let it Go like this – It’s like losing your 4 wheel drive in your vehicle! When he’s gone he is sorely missed. This hard working saint is one of those that when he’s gone you start to realize that this person “just took care of things.”

Why a nickname like this? Check out this link to a very short video clip, and don’t forget to pray. http://www.hopeforhaiti.ws/#/photosvideos/colorado-video-clips – then click on video player and “Let it go”

Chikungunya   Leave a comment

Hello Folks,

Some of you may already be aware of an outbreak of “Chikungunya” in Haiti.  This is real and is now really showing it’s presence within some of the EMEVI Churches and Schools.  Bois Neuf and Charrette with the most cases right now but it’s showing up in the communities well beyond there.  Below are a few links to articles that can explain it far better than I.  The first link (below) is from May 13th so we are probably just in the beginning of  what’s to come!
Marcel called and asked that we join them in prayer.

Thanks for standing in the gap.

Prayer   Leave a comment

It all started here. Prayer. Even now people are gathering not only to discuss future events and what God has done this year, but also to bring all before the Lord for the days ahead.

“… Each one had a harp and they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.” Revelation 5:8b

Join in with the saints praying for the days ahead and the future of EMEVI and Hope for Haiti.

In the Kitchen During Conference   Leave a comment

Only in our dreams could we imagine this coming together. New numbers show that up to 1300 participated in this years Camp Meeting. The kitchen here with a few coal fires outside and pots for all (30+)(check out the size of these pots) to feed the multitudes.

“…Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me. This is the bread that came down from heaven. Your forefathers ate manna and died, but he who feeds on this bread will live forever.” John 6:57 & 58

Pots in the Kitchen   Leave a comment

“Yet you, Lord, are our Father.
We are the clay, you are the potter;
we are all the work of your hand” (Isaiah 64:8).

Take a look at these pictures from the new kitchen at Bois Neuf!

Please keep the cooks in prayer as they prepare meals for over a thousand of Haitians during this year’s conference, held April 24-27. The theme is “Ale ak Jezi” (“Go with Jesus”). To keep up to date on the latest from conference, visit our Facebook page.
